About ABC
The Church building is just along the High Street and Ock Street, a short walk from the Market Place and County Hall. The Church building stands back from the Street with a refurbished blue front facade and the 35 Ock Street centre
We are one of the oldest Baptist Churches in England, and can be found in the heart of the ancient market town of Abingdon - just a few miles south of Oxford.
This website has been designed for both visitors and church members to find out more about our church and its activities. If you are a visitor to our website we hope that you are in Abingdon soon and can visit us in person - you will be sure of a warm welcome.

Weekday activities include house groups, prayer meetings, a mid-week fellowship, church youth and children's groups and Scout and Guide groups. The church also seeks to support our individual members in their place of work or weekday situation, through our interest, prayer and enabling, believing that this is where our faith must be worked out and be seen to be effective.
A major part of the church’s work in the community is 35 Ock Street, the church’s former manse. This has been transformed into a centre for the church and the community, and is open every weekday 10:30 -1:30 for coffee and light lunches and on Saturdays from 10:00 to noon for coffee. A listening service is available every day. In addition, rooms are available for community related activities, small conferences etc. Many of those involved in 35 Ock Street are from other churches in the town.
The church has about 130 members, is a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and is one of 13 churches covenanted together in " The Church in Abingdon", which is a Local Ecumenical Project.
We meet for worship on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Morning worship includes a crèche and teaching groups for children and young people. Our worship seeks to offer a balance of old and new material with plenty of participation from the whole congregation. Music is led by the organ and a variety of musicians.
