ALF

ABOUT ALF

Last June we launched ALF, a new club for children in school years 3 to 6. ALF stands for “About Life and Faith” and each meeting is a mix of games, fun, craft and bible teaching. It complements what already happens in Family Church, and set to attract a whole new group of children and families.

It meets fortnightly on a Friday evening in the church hall. ALF got off to an amazing start: around 20 children are now on the books and 44 people came along to the end of term BBQ in July.

Please pray for all those involved and for the activities planned. It’s an exciting time to be part of Abingdon Baptist Church! Beth.

We all want ALF to be a success. Here is how you can help ALF:

Take a leaflet and give it to a family with children in that age range. Tell them how much fun it will be and encourage them to come along.

Take a poster and put it up in newsagents, shops, your front window, libraries … anywhere that families may see it.

Pray for the team and the preparations this month, for the children that are already part of our church family and for others who will be invited along to ALF.

If you would like to be more involved in ALF, or would like to be part of a regular prayer team for the club and receive regular prayer items, please see Beth Fleming or Jane Tonks
