Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. It covers the period from Ascension Day to Pentecost – this year 10 – 20 May.
During this period we are invited to pray regularly for 5 friends to come to know Jesus.
The hope is that:
- people will commit to pray with God’s world-wide family – as a church, individually or as a family;
- people will be empowered through prayer by the Holy Spirit, finding new confidence to be witnesses for Jesus Christ.
In praying ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ we all commit to playing our part in the renewal of the nations and the transformation of communities.
Archbishop Justin Welby
We hope that as many of us as possible will join together, either individually or at events the church will be organising – watch out for further details; and commit to spending some time each day for 10 days in prayer.

Here is a prayer to start you – why not pray it regularly?
Thank you, Lord, for welcoming me
into your family and blessing me with
the confidence and joy of knowing that
nothing can separate me from your
love. May I share that joy with others
and may your kingdom come.
In Jesus’ name. Amen
