I have been a long standing member of ABC and have undertaken various roles over the years. Currently I am the Link Deacon for the Mission Committee, Deputy Organist, and a member of the ’35 Ock Street’ Pastoral Leadership Team as well as fulfilling the many other regular duties of a Deacon.
I am a daughter of a Methodist Minister, but was baptised as a Baptist in Leicester age 18. I met my husband Gerald, who sadly passed away in 2017, whilst training to be a teacher and have two grown up children, both married.
My final teaching post was as a Deputy Head in an Oxford School with special responsibility for, Music, R.E. and English. Other activities and interests have included working in Family Church, being a member of the Standing Advisory Committee for Religious Education in Oxfordshire, training as a Tutor in Acorn Christian Listening, acting as a Cruse Bereavement Counsellor for 16 years and working as a volunteer at Child Contact Centre here at ABC.
My keen interest in music is reflected in my being a member of the Oxford Harmonic Choir and being a Music Group Volunteer at Kingfisher School.
