Revd Ian Millgate

Ian is a retired Baptist minister who was trained at Spurgeon’s College in London before serving in three churches in Bristol, Birmingham and Gloucestershire between 1977 and 1990. He then joined the national staff of the Baptist Union in Didcot where he worked until 2018 and used the administrative skills he now tries to bring to this role. Christine Cairns

Chris Cairns (née Joynes) was born in Oldham, Lancashire. She has retained her northern accent, despite living in Oxfordshire since the early 1990s. She read Theology at St Hugh’s College, Oxford and then went on to complete a doctorate in New Testament studies under the supervision of Christopher Rowland. I was brought up in a Christian home as the daughter of a Baptist minister. I was baptised at the age of 15 in Salisbury Baptist Church.
