Jill was brought up in a Methodist church; at 16 she went with friends to a Congregational church, which then became a United Reformed Church where she became a member and worked in the Junior Church, and was Assistant Cub Scout Leader. Christine was re-elected to the diaconate in 2022 and enjoys singing, cooking and walking. She lives in Abingdon close to one of her three daughters. Her responsibility as a deacon includes pastoral care. She enjoys attending retreats and is very involved with Christian Aid.

I was born in High Wycombe and attended Totteridge Baptist Church from a very early age and was 18 when I was baptised. I moved to Banbury when I married and was a member of the Baptist Church there. Since moving to Abingdon in 1981 I have been an active member of ABC.
